I am beginning to realize just how many things I have to finish before I graduate in June, this Signature project being one of them. This means that April is going to be a doozy. It also means that my project is FINALLY coming together!! Here's what's on the docket:
completion of the narrative pages
If you've noticed some blank pages on this blog, it's not a mistake. These six pages will soon be filled with the narratives that I am writing. The QR code system on the buildings will link to these six pages, providing the reader with a chronological story of the Geologic History of the Emma Willard School. I spent a good portion of my spring vacation outlining what I want these pages to say. April means that I will be fleshing out these outlines and finishing the pages.
microscopic rock samples
I have scheduled a few more visits to the lab at RPI to finish making and analyzing my rock samples. While this analysis is not vital to the success of my project, I think it is a really amazing opportunity for me to learn more about the stones and to also gain some practical experience for college.
presentation prep
I present this project to fellow peers, teachers, and alumnae in less than two months! During the latter part of April I will be creating the physical presentation of this project. Personally, I think rocks are pretty darn awesome (if you hadn't gathered that already) but others may find them a little dull. My goal is to make my presentation professional, fun, and funny.
Tune in next week for a recap of my second trip to the lab!
